Art post punk rockers GUSTAVE TIGER streaming new record!

1 min read

Wow, this is amazing! Bright and dynamic on the surface, the newest record from Hungarian band GUSTAVE TIGER echoes the new wave era, but with unmistakable art rock and psychedelic references that make it even more special. Be sure to take a listen below and tell your friends, cause this is a one hellof an addictive set of jams.

Gustave Tiger are an energetic art punk band hailing from Budapest, Hungary. After releasing their debut EP ‘Mitanni Mares’ and first full length album ‘At The Idyll’s End’ the four-piece is back with a brand new single ‘Thermidor’ taken from the upcoming seventeen song strong album ‘Chaste and Mystic Tribadry’, released on May 30th.

The album is an eclectic mix of art punk, psychedelic rock and post-hardcore and showcases what the group like most about creating their music; the intensity, the energy, the noise and the harmony, nostalgia and avant-garde. It comes hereby as no surprise that the band count legendary bands such as New Model Army, Killing Joke, The Cure and Discharge as their biggest influence. When asked, guitarist Gergo describes their music as follows: “The sound of relentless rhythm and dreamy layers of vocal harmonies, infused with electric guitar noise and the touch of psychedelia – all the while refusing to abandon the pop sensibility in our songwriting.”

In 2015 Gustave Tiger were invited to do an official showcase at SXSW 2015 in Austin, TX, and also performing in Los Angeles, San Antonio, London, Berlin, Vienna, Warsaw amongst others.
