The newest music video from Vermont punks PEOPLE WATCHERS called “Friends” was recorded with a VHS camcorder, and what better place to premiere it than IDIOTEQ.com! We have teamed up with Nick Grandchamp (ex GET A GRIP) to give you its first watch above and his additional commentary below.
Asked about this 28-second battery, Nick commented:
“In 2019 I had to cut a few people out of my life that were being reckless and immature, this song is about that, some people don’t want to change and don’t wanna take ownership for their actions, I just hit a breaking point with their shit show and this song was written”
“Friends” comes from the band’s upcoming, yet-to-be-announced split record with “a really cool band”!
The news on the split is still on going, waiting on a final date the other band can record two new songs, but I can tell you it’s one of my favorite bands in New England.
People Watchers plans for 2020 is to keep on writing for another full length, with Dave now sharing vocal duties with me it opens up the door for a more aggressive sound than our later releases and I’m really excited about that.
In other news, Nick Grandchamp plays guitar in the recently reformed RIVER CITY REBELS , who just locked down dates to record their new LP at Robot Dog Studios this April in Burlington Vermont.
We have shows in the work for this summer as well, pretty excited for. – says Nick.
Curious about the thriving scene of Vermont, we double checked if it’s still kicking ass, and Mr. Grandchamp was happ to confirm:
Lots of great bands are active in Vermont right now, a hardcore band called Gone Wrong started in Burlington last year and they are amazing and they are all youth and it’s really great to see, The Path, Rough Francis, Void Bringer, Ghastly Sound, Doom Service, voices in vain and many more to list. It’s all great to see.
