Featured on IDIOTEQ in 2013, Yogyakarta melodic hardcore band THROUGHOUT (et. 2004) is back with a new track and a new vocalist! Check out the new powerful song called “One Vision” and read the official statement from Samstrong Records below.
Astrida, a previous vocalist who has been on their previous works is replaced by Rika Fadhila. This decision related to Astrida’s work schedules and desire to focus on the family. In this way, the current composition of Throughout composed by Rika Fadhila (vocals), Julian Ferry (guitar), Rio Chess (Drum), Conan Faozi (Bass), and Sidharta (guitar).
Previously, since formed in 2004, Throughout had experienced several personnel changes. After a fairly stable composition on 2010, they had been in the lowest point of a band, which nearly broke up due to low intensity meeting of Throughout’s personnel post-release first album. Besides, the demands of other work is considered to be very consuming energy the personnel.
To mark and celebrate a new era in their career, Throughout released a single titled “One Vision” on June 6th 2016. The single was done in Soba Studio with the help of audio engineer in Yogyakarta, Grayce. On the day of the release, “One Vision” can be downloaded for free through Samstrong Records Bandcamp.
“One Vision” itself is highly representative for Throughout’s current conditions. The presence of new vocalist and the return of Yusron to the band is being such a kind of revival of Throughout. The process of recording of this song also is a journey unifying vision of the personnel. More than just a song, “One Vision” is the moment. “We decided that the song” One Vision” is a representation of what we are fighting for today. Our life, profession, or anything including this album,” says Throughout.
In addition to announcing the new vocalis and “One Vision” release, through this press release Throughout also announcing the plan to release their latest album. The material of new album still kept secret. Currently Throughout has reached the stage of recording. According to their plan, this upcoming album will be released late in 2016. Prior to this, Throughout has released a mini-album titled Step Ahead Into The Real World in 2012 and split album titled Overseas Connection along with the Challenge, the band from Caldas da Rainha Portugal in March 2013. All of their albums, including the latest album which will be released at the end of year still be launched under Samstrong Records label.
“The substitution vocalist will definitely give a new color for Throughout. With new material and their vivid hardcore music, Samstrong Records remain optimistic and excited to support the latest album of Throughout that will release later this year,” said Aditya from Samstrong Records.
Since their first appearance in 2004, Throughoutt has known for emotional live act and stand-out song. Their riff used to have modern-oldschool hardcore part. Throughout also noted at Yogyakarta Hardcore-punk scene since the beginning, they even had a time to do a tour at Jabodetabek and East Java with Knockdown and Reason To Die in early 2012. Besides all the support from Samstrong Records, Throughout will also get a full support from @berak9420, a clothing line based in Bandung.
“One Vision” is expected to be an introduction for a new version of Throughout. They’ll still play loud, and louder on their upcoming new album. Stay tune for lastest news of Throughout’s new album!
