Detroit hardcore heavyweights COLD AS LIFE have booked a string of European dates in late April / early May. The band will visit 7 countries and will destroy 15 stages in 15 different cities. The band formed in 1988 and after a couple of break-ups and turbulences, returned in 2015. Their latest LP is Declination of Independence (CTYC Productions), released 17 years ago. They have returned in early 2017 with 2 new tracks”For The Few” and “Suffer”, available for streaming below, and slated for a Summer release on Demons Run Amok!
Detroit Rock City. Home of so many big Bands. Home of legendary Cold As Life. A Band with a vivid history, suffering the loss of members, as their original shouter Rawn Beuty who was murdered in 1993, many line up changes and splits. A Band that lived through violent times and always stuck to their roots. A Band living Hardcore the oldschool way. No mess, no fuss!
After a number of Demos they released the first album “Born To Land Hard” in 1998 and their second, and to this date last, album “Declination of Independence” in 2000. Cold As Life split up in 2001, reunited in 2007 and played until 2011.
Now they are back with a new formation, leaving Roy Bates on drums as the last founding member. The new 2 Track EP “Suffer” comes out via Demons Run Amok. An EP that sums up all that Cold As Life is about: a brutal oldschool Hardcore band, angry, raw and intense. Playing metal influenced 90ies Hardcore that will blow your mind.
