Experimental doom post metal act Wyatt E. premiere new record

August 28, 2017
1 min read

At first, instrumental post-doom act WYATT E. may be difficult to listen to, but there is great reward in diving deep into this ambiguously landscape that the trio have built. The band writes a soundtrack to a travel in the Orient in which your fantasy is the main means of transportation. This pilgrimage takes you to a place unspecified in time nor place and portrays an Orient as it is seen from the point of view of our Western Culture. Heavily influenced by cultural artefacts from Ingres’ paintings to Pasolini’s movies and the Anglo-American tradition of naively romanticising Arabic culture, WYATT E. is the sonic answer to Edward Saïd’s canonic Orientalism. “Exile to Beyn Neharot” is best devoured as a whole, without any distractions.

“Exile to beyn Neharot” LP by WYATT E. was released on June 21st on Shalosh Cult label.
