St. Louis indie rockers CHOIR VANDALS have announced their debut full-length album Dark Glow (out July 14th on Animal Style Records) and have recently unveiled a new track “Holiday Girls”, accompanied by a music video and available below.
The band’s Austin McCutchen commented on the concept of the track by saying:
Holiday Girls is about a group of friends who I got really close to in high school. They had their own way of having fun, which contrasted the typical parties with drugs and alcohol. On the weekends, we would go into my friend’s basement where we would dance to music and express ourselves in ways that everyone else would find strange.
That group of girls taught me a lot about being comfortable with myself and embracing my differences. They showed me that it’s okay to not be normal.”
