Lansdale, Pennsylvania’s noisy, stoner tinged hardcore punks L.M.I. are on the verge of releasing their new EP dubbed ‘L.M.I. IV’ and we have a new, well-refined tune to share with you! “June Was A Test” is a fine container of thick riffage and grit, building on the legacy of punk, noise rock, post hardcore, stoner, and other flavors rooted in the best of what we’ve heard in the past. Check it out below and catch them on their upcoming tour, which we’re pleased to announce through the poster below.
L.M.I. have been a band for 8 years and have toured from coast to coast across North America. Their latest album “Far Beyond Nothing” was released through Dullest Records back in June 2017 and their new EP is going to be released on July 6th through Killer Tofu Records on CD, cassette, and digital – PRE-ORDER HERE.
“We started writing this EP almost immediately after we recorded our last album “Far Beyond Nothing”. I personally feel that this EP is much more straightforward, compact, and harder hitting than any of our previous material. Some major themes of this record at least for me is the idea of the stress/pressure to move forward and progress as a person but also using the time you have wisely while focusing on your hesitations and mistakes to self improve and the toll it takes on you mentally. Also the idea of questioning where you are at this point in your life, the decisions you have made, and what it is all worth in the end.”
