The track, along with an accompanying music video directed and edited by Static Dress vocalist Olli Appleyard, is now available on all streaming platforms.
The expanded edition of “Rouge Carpet Disaster,” titled “Rouge Carpet Disaster (Redux),” is now open for pre-order. This special release features new artwork and four Redux versions of the band’s popular singles. Among the revamped tracks are “Courtney, just relax” with the inclusion of World Of Pleasure, “Attempt 8” featuring Sophie Meiers, “Di-sinTer (Glitter Redux),” and “such.a.shame (Smoking lounge Redux).” The album will be available in multiple vinyl variants, with each LP accompanied by an additional 7″ vinyl showcasing the four Redux tracks.
Originally released independently, “Rouge Carpet Disaster” served as a pivotal moment for Static Dress. Produced by Erik Bickerstaffe of Loathe and written by the band themselves, the album showcases their unique and imaginative sound that defies categorization. Spanning genres such as emo, screamo, metal, pop, and electronic, “Rouge Carpet Disaster” stands as a testament to their ambitious and boundary-pushing artistry, making it one of the most impressive rock releases in recent memory.
Static Dress first made waves in the alternative music scene with their 2021 EP, “Prologue… (Comic Book Soundtrack).” The EP, acclaimed by Kerrang! readers who voted the band as the Best New Band Of The Year in 2021, laid the foundation for Static Dress’ grand vision. Acting as a comic book and official soundtrack, “Prologue…” introduced fans to a parallel universe filled with captivating puzzles and lore.
Having already supported renowned acts like Bring Me The Horizon, Knocked Loose, Loathe, and Higher Power, Static Dress is set to perform at the highly anticipated Slam Dunk Festival later this month on May 27th and 28th. Following these performances, the band will join Neck Deep for two sold-out UK shows on June 7th and 8th before taking the stage at the esteemed Download Festival on June 10th. Stay tuned for more tour dates, as Static Dress plans to announce additional shows in the coming weeks.
