Two years after redefining their death metal trajectory with the EP Czerń the Warsaw quintet returns with their full-length album “Klątwa,” released on September 6, 2024, under Arcadian Industry.

This roughly half-hour release encapsulates the band’s relentless pursuit of their sonic identity, delivering seven tracks rooted in old-school death metal.

Yet, these compositions are far from straightforward—they’re infested with dark hardcore, venomous black metal undertones, and the eerie atmospherics reminiscent of your worst nightmares.

Klątwa” marks another collaboration with producer Marcin Buźniak (W Dobrym Tonie Studio, Axis), who has once again harnessed the band’s raw energy into a brutal, unyielding soundscape.

Frontman Łukasz Zając’s guttural growls pierce through the dense riffs, a signature of the band’s powerful, riff-laden style.

The lyrics, sung entirely in Polish, delve deep into the twisted existence in a world rife with madness and political filth, maintaining the band’s reputation for direct, harsh storytelling.

The album will drop on CD with a vinyl LP version to follow shortly after, accompanied by a series of club shows this fall.

The visual aspect of “Klątwa” is crafted by Janek Fronczak, with the cover art based on Devinez’s painting “XIII.”

Czerń’s lineup features Łukasz Zając on vocals, Janek Fronczak and Piotr Sałata on guitars, Bernard Sierakowski on bass, and Arek Lerch on drums.

The album’s release will be supported by a tour, with sludge metal enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the live execution of these tracks. Joining them on the road is Wielki Mrok, a Warsaw trio channeling the primal chaos of early black metal and hardcore punk.
