Pure Noise Records is gearing up for the release of Dead Formats Vol. 3 on October 17, 2024, in collaboration with Pabst Blue Ribbon. This compilation features a wide range of covers from Pure Noise’s roster, putting their signature twists on well-known tracks.
Among the standout contributions is SENSES FAIL’s rendition of “Shoulder to the Wheel,” originally by SAVES THE DAY. This reimagining adds a fresh layer of intensity while staying true to the emotional core of the track.
In return, SAVES THE DAY offers their own spin on SENSES FAIL’s “Lady in a Blue Dress,” injecting their characteristic alt-rock energy and an acoustic vibe into the emo post hardcore anthem.
The full album also includes contributions from FOUR YEAR STRONG with their cover of Stone Temple Pilots’ “Vasoline,” KNUCKLE PUCK taking on Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season,” HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS’ haunting version of “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” by DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, and a lot lot more.
