NO ESCAPE and Revelation Records are teaming up to drop No Escape: 1990-1993 on November 8th. The release will feature all the studio tracks recorded by the band during their early years, newly remixed and remastered by Brad Boatright (Audiosiege), capturing the raw, riff-heavy sound that defined them.
The first single, “Silenced,” is now streaming for the first time and offers a punchy introduction to the band’s signature hardcore energy. Originally recorded just 17 days after their formation, it became an instant fan favorite and still holds up today.

Formed in Brooklyn in 1989 by Tim Singer (later of DEADGUY, KISS IT GOODBYE) and Steve Crudello (TURNING POINT), NO ESCAPE quickly became a force in the hardcore scene, with their demo and split with TURNING POINT solidifying their status. Now, fans can revisit this iconic era with the release of No Escape: 1990-1993.

NO ESCAPE biography:
The seed for No Escape was planted in 1989 in Greenpoint Brooklyn at Tim’s apartment. Tim Singer (of Boiling Point zine at the time) and Steve Crudello (of Turning Point at the time) met while living in NYC. They started hanging out and daydreaming that if they ever did a band together the concept would be to combine the creativity of Absolution with the energy of Youth of Today — plus a healthy dose of heavy riffs sprinkled in. Whether it sounded like that is up for debate, but that was the original concept.
About a year later, Steve and Tim (both Jersey kids) became housemates in Ocean City, New Jersey. Steve started jamming with Chris Brisiel from Delaware on drums and Ben Lerman from Philadelphia on bass. After a few practices and a few songs were written, Tim soon tried out and No Escape went from being a fun idea to a reality. And they hit the ground running.
Just seventeen days after that first practice with Tim in the summer of 1990, they recorded “Silence” for the Rebuilding comp that included Gorilla Biscuits, Burn, and Turning Point. Tim had been singing out loud for less than three weeks at that point, so no one actually knew what his vocals truly sounded like until they hit the studio. The song was very well received and the show offers started coming in.
A few weeks later, the band recorded their 6-song demo in a basement in Delaware that further demonstrated a sound that was their own. That was followed by their first show at the legendary Anthrax club in Connecticut with Quicksand and Burn — not a bad start! That set the tone for playing everywhere they could up and down the east coast as well as playing a mini tour in California after just a few months of existence. They played some incredible shows including a killer bill with Chain of Strength and Statue at Spanky’s and a trip to the legendary Zed Records to sell their demo.
The next year or two included more shows up and down the east coast and a national tour in 1992 with Worlds Collide and Railhed. Somewhere in there a split EP was recorded with Turning Point that captured No Escape at their most intense and raw with the song “Framework” that became a crowd favorite, and the re-recording of “Guilty”. After deciding to take different musical paths with new band projects, they agreed to do one more recording when Ron Guardipee (RIP) of Overkill Records reached out. That resulted in the posthumous “Just Accept It” LP which, until now, has only ever been available as a CD.
It was a fast-paced, productive and memorable couple of years where they made lifelong friends, played with some incredible bands and had some fun along the way. This record captures all the studio material recorded from 1990 to 1993 with new mixes and mastering compiled together for the first time.
The band briefly reunited and wrote and recorded the “Selective Punches” 6-song EP that was released by Hellminded Records in 2021.
