Our special guests from Argentina, FIN DEL MUNDO, returns with new album that grows roots deep in collective experiences and individual introspection. Set against a backdrop of harsh isolation, this release speaks to the resilience of those left behind, standing firm in a world where many have fled for better prospects.
The title, Hicimos crecer un bosque, translates to “We grew a forest,” a metaphor woven through the album’s narrative.
Though the sound sprawls across indie rock, dream pop, and post-rock, blending genres freely, the albym is about finding strength in togetherness, in nurturing something vibrant even in hostile environments.
The band describes the process as leaving no desire unfulfilled: “This time, we decided to be completely free in composing and incorporating our various musical influences, leaving no desires unfulfilled.”
The concept builds around the protagonist’s struggle in a deserted cityscape, reflecting on past connections and the future they hope to create despite their isolation. The narrative arc gradually shifts from individual despair to collective hope, where gang vocals emphasize unity, and the final tracks offer glimpses of growth—trees rising amidst desolation.
As guitarist and vocalist Lucía Masnatta explains, the album’s sonic elements are just as layered: “The treatment of the guitars is very luminous, and the battery is extremely precise and milimétrica.” This meticulous attention to detail is clear in tracks like “El día de las flores,” featuring guest vocals from Guillermo Mármol of ETERNA INOCENCIA, which blends nostalgic lyrics with finely tuned instrumentation.
