SHADOWS FALL, a veteran key player in the New Wave of American Metal that defined the early 2000s, has unveiled their first new song in over a decade, “In the Grey.” The band has also signed with MNRK Heavy, marking a new chapter in their career.

The single, described as a blend of classic SHADOWS FALL elements — intricate solos, layered vocals, and introspective lyrics — also introduces fresh ideas that emerged from the band members’ recent musical ventures.

“We’re thrilled to release new music after so many years and to partner with MNRK Heavy,” said vocalist Brian Fair. “When we reunited for the shows, we didn’t anticipate writing again, but the chemistry was instant. ‘In the Grey’ captures the essence of SHADOWS FALL while tackling themes of depression and the fight to rise above.”

Fair elaborated on the lyrical direction, likening the struggle of depression to a physical weight, but emphasized resilience and hope: “There’s always a light to chase, a brighter day ahead.”
