Here’s the official word:

Following their punishing two-week 7 Years Of Disillusion Tour this past Spring, dissonant, anti-life, funeral grind trio CLINGING TO THE TREES OF A FOREST FIRE return for an 11-date West Coast takeover set to commence today in Las Vegas.

The band will be touring in support of their Visceral 10″ EP released via Prosthetic Records last Summer and a general hatred for mankind. Featuring six tracks in barely sixteen minutes, Visceral stands among the band most volatile, grating grind/sludge attack to date. Exclaim called the release “one big bad touch of visceral grind/sludge that’s also an experiment in abstraction, where undifferentiated noise meets the experience of a physical barrage,” hometown Denver weekly Westword stated that Visceral “achieves an electrifying alchemy of despair and rebellion against personal demons,” while the Heavy Metal Tribune commended the band for their ability “…to contain such a perfect balance of slow, heavy and fast, furious segments,” noting that Visceral is “an extremely enjoyable release, fit for fans of any form of extreme metal.” Music Emissions agreed noting “CLINGING TO THE TREES OF A FOREST FIRE have laid down an impressionable dose of sonically disturbing and relentless metal with the apt-titled Visceral,” while Heavy Planet said it best: “Melding grind and sludge sounds like a recipe for disaster, but CLINGING TO THE TREES OF A FOREST FIRE pull off seamless transitions and craft an undeniably brutal and pensive death rattle that will please metal fans of any ilk. Visceral is the Symbionese Liberation Army to any listener’s Patty Hearst. This disc will beat you senseless until you begin believing your captors are right.”
