A GREAT BIG PILE OF LEAVES has announced their new album – Pono – due out August 13th, 2021. The band has teamed up with longtime partner Topshelf Records for the physical release, which is available for pre-order today HERE. With the news of Pono comes single “Beat Up Shoes,” the band’s first new music in eight years.

Produced by A Great Big Pile of Leaves and recorded primarily at their home studio, Pono was mixed by the band’s touring guitarist Matthew Weber at Gradwell House Recording and mastered by Dave Downham (Beach Slang, Into It. Over It.) at Gradwell House Recording. The new album is the follow-up to the band’s 2013 Ed Ackerson (The Replacements, The Jayhawks) produced sophomore LP You’re Always on My Mind, which debuted on 5 Billboard charts and garnered support from Pitchfork, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, Noisey, NYLON, WNYC, XPN and more.
