A GREAT BIG PILE OF LEAVES has announced their new album – Pono – due out August 13th, 2021. The band has teamed up with longtime partner Topshelf Records for the physical release, which is available for pre-order today HERE. With the news of Pono comes single โ€œBeat Up Shoes,โ€ the bandโ€™s first new music in eight years.

Produced by A Great Big Pile of Leaves and recorded primarily at their home studio, Pono was mixed by the bandโ€™s touring guitarist Matthew Weber at Gradwell House Recording and mastered by Dave Downham (Beach Slang, Into It. Over It.) at Gradwell House Recording. The new album is the follow-up to the bandโ€™s 2013 Ed Ackerson (The Replacements, The Jayhawks) produced sophomore LP Youโ€™re Always on My Mind, which debuted on 5 Billboard charts and garnered support from Pitchfork, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, Noisey, NYLON, WNYC, XPN and more.
