A look into the mind-bending music from electronic noise digital hardcore industrializer DICQBEATS

1 min read

Pushing boundaries of sound and changing lives with aggressive catchy tunes and addictingly wild and high energy live shows, DICQBEATS is a one man mashup of various genres, masterfully weaving elements of edm, metal, noise and punk into a somewhat understandable narrative. DICQBEATS holds a serious grudge against many things and explains why you should too.

“Birds aren’t real” is the main song DICQBEATS points to when he tells people about DICQBEATS.

“It’s catchy and the wordplay is a lot of fun to dissect.” – he admits. “Not even mentioning the addicting shout chorus. Unfortunately this was the very first song I ever wrote/produced/finished and somehow it still remains this unsurpassable thing to myself. But that’s also one of the things I like most about this project, every song is distinct, no matter how experimental I get every song has its message, it’s identity.”

Speaking about his newest song, “CBT Gummi”, he continues: “I love industrial and goth music and I have a lot of friends who host and go to those sorts of events. Now, I didn’t make it with intention to them only, I made it and that’s what it ended up being. I originally never wanted to go that route but then I said “wait a minute I’m DICQBEATS Ill do whatever I want” and I ended up really enjoying it on the registers, even the mixing phase was very streamlined because the song is so driving.”

DICQBEATS has always been about not just saying everything is bad, but exploring WHY everything is bad and then thinking about what it means to the individual listener.

“It’s something that at the end of the day I can be proud that I made even through all the hardships and bullshit I’ve had to fight over the years to really make myself heard.” – concludes DICQBEATS.
