In 2010 members of Pulling Teeth / Skin Like Iron collaborated with the idea of creating something that could sit between Burning Witch ‘Towers…’ and Ringworm ‘The Promise’. Dom Romeo of A389 Recordings just released two tracks from the project dubbed VIRGIN WITCH, detailed via his offcial word below. These two tracks pack a punch far greater than you might expect and serve as perfect treat for fans of Ringworm, Burning Witch and Celtic Frost.
“The songs were written in between shows and rehearsed during soundcheck on Pulling Teeth’s 2010 west coast tour with 108, Skin Like Iron and Lewd Acts. I was doing double duty on guitar for PT and SLI on that tour, so the songs came together pretty painlessly…plus working with Alex and Blaine was a breeze.” – comments Dom.
“Alex C would pop up again to do guest vocals on Pulling Teeth ‘Funerary’ album (The New Dark Ages) but a proper Virgin Witch LP would never materialize. Fun fact is that some of the intended VW riffs ended up on Funerary as well as Integrity’s Howling LP. I didn’t see Blaine again until almost a decade later when Integrity was playing a bridge in Austin.”
