Albany based emo indie rockers NADA Y NADA have been around since 2015, but it took them more than five years to craft a proper full length. Scheduled for a September 24th release, “Repeat” is heralded by the first single “Unmet’, which sounds painfully personal, more real and more heartfelt than most of your indie offerings this year. Let’s hope this debut will pour plenty of gas in their tank.
“The song is about being overwhelmed. Finding that everything is going wrong wherever you look.” – comments the band.
“And questioning whether it’s the circumstances or your perspective on the circumstances that feel so stressful.”
Lyrics:
Back is aching
Brain is failing
I keep trying to hide it
Or numb myself
Or throw it away
As far as the east
From the westI feel like shit
This kind of pain lasts and lasts
You
Try and stop it but it breaks through like glass
You
Close you eyes trying to hide
And you find you can’t
Fight it backIt’s coming from every direction
It’s your car and your job and your family and friends
It’s your fault it’s her fault it’s his fault and then it’s yours againIt’s g-d it’s the world it’s your husband or wife
It’s you isn’t it and your sad small life
It feels
Worthless and hopeless and helpless
So what can you do
All expectations unmetWhat do you do?
