ALKALINE TRIO’s “From Here to Infirmary” Reissue: Limited Vinyl Pressing announced

1 min read

‘From Here to Infirmary,’ the third studio album from ALKALINE TRIO, marks a distinct phase in the band’s career, marking their first release under Vagrant Records.

This album also uniquely captures a snapshot of the band’s lineup with drummer Mike Felumlee, who stepped in to replace Glenn Porter. However, Felumlee’s tenure with the band was brief, as he departed shortly after the album’s release.

During the ensuing tour, Atom Willard temporarily filled in and even appeared in the iconic “Private Eye” music video, but it was ultimately Derek Grant who would step into the role permanently, cementing the rhythm section for the trio moving forward.

The album, originally released in 2001, became a defining piece of early 2000s punk rock, brimming with raw, hook-laden tracks that capture the angst, wit, and dark humor ALKALINE TRIO is known for. This new pressing, brought to life by Hassle Records, comes in the form of a heavyweight black vinyl that echoes the album’s gritty authenticity. The reissue is part of a hand-numbered, exclusive run of just 500 copies, making it a coveted piece for fans and collectors alike.

This limited-edition vinyl is exclusively available through Bandcamp this weekend as part of the latest Bandcamp Friday event, a monthly initiative supporting artists directly. The reissue is anticipated to sell quickly, especially with the holiday season approaching and shipping scheduled for early December—perfect timing for those looking to add a punk classic to their collection.

Beyond ‘From Here to Infirmary,’ Hassle Records has announced special editions for other releases. Fans who order ALKALINE TRIO’s vinyl reissue this Bandcamp Friday weekend can also enter for a chance to win a rare test pressing of either Interlaker or Dead Pioneers. These albums each have limited pressings with distinctive colorways: Interlaker’s split-color vinyl edition, still available, and Dead Pioneers’ vibrant neon pink vinyl, set for release on November 15.
