Atmopsheric post hardcore act DARK SPRING joins Escapist Records; premieres new song

1 min read

Ohio’s DARK SPRING joins Escapist Records and will release their debut effort, Chain Letter 13, through the Cleveland-based record label.  The post-hardcore quartet, which started as a solo project for Ages guitarist Carson Ward, brings together a refreshing mix of influences from bands like Hum, Seaweed, and The Promise Ring.  DARK SPRING offer up sharp, focused youth anthems filled with atmospheric fuzz, infectious yet moody melodies, and dynamic song structures. The track “Fifth Floor Serenade” can be streamed exclusively at New Noise Magazine and below.

Dark Spring is part of a recent cast of bands shedding light on a highly influential era of music.  With the breakout success of bands like Nirvana, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Slowdive in the mid 1990’s a whole new spectrum of music was revealed to millions of unsuspecting ears.  The lasting effect of this shift in the music landscape can be found in today’s bands like DarkSpring and their contemporaries – Title Fight, Balance & Composure, etc. – as they bring their own take on a sound that changed music forever.
