Bay Area pop punk rockers CHEERS FOR NOTHING share new singles

1 min read

CHEERS FOR NOTHING is gearing up to release their high-energy single All Season and officially announce their debut EP, Same Highs, New Lows. This marks the second single from the upcoming EP, following October’s infectious Kings and Queens.

Before you start complaining that modern pop punk is generic, unoriginal, or too melodic, remember this comes from a heart inspired by the greats—so let’s give space to ambitious young players, appreciate their energy, and you’ll see for yourself how it sticks in your head and gets under your skin.

With Justin Seo (vocals, rhythm guitar), Ricky Chu (lead guitar), Leon Andre Saqui (bass), and Devon Sablan (drums) at the helm, this crew is ready to carve out their own space in the scene. Combining nostalgic pop-punk hooks with the emotional punch of modern emo, the EP promises to bring the band’s unique flavor to the forefront.

All Season captures the raw energy and emotional highs that fans can expect from Same Highs, New Lows.

The EP dives deep into the tension between growth and familiarity, exploring how we face new challenges while revisiting old ones.

According to the band: “The EP title reflects the duality of life—where growth and new experiences often come hand in hand with recurring challenges.”

“The EP explores how we navigate change while also confronting the familiar struggles that persist. It’s a reminder that life is full of contrasts, and while we may strive for new highs, we also need to accept and learn from the lows.”

Cheers For Nothing

“The title emphasises that everything, from the mundane to the remarkable, shapes who we are and makes the journey worthwhile.”
