Berlin dark crust metallers ANCST return with “Furnace”

February 20, 2017
1 min read

German blackened crust metallers ANCST have released a new EP called “Furnace”! The record is available on CD by Vendetta Records and Yehonala Tapes and features tracks from their split with AST. It will be released on vinyl in May/June through Vendetta Records. The band will be touring in support of the record in late February / early March. See the details below.

ANCST‘s driving force has made one of the best crust metal efforts this year, a varied set of blackened originals with plenty of surprises. The way their often high-pitched form wraps itself around valuable content is engaging as hell. Listen for yourself.

“After “Moloch”, their first album hit the scene last year, ANCST has toured relentlessly. Besides putting out a few more of their dark ambient releases, the Berlin based blackened crust collective has gone quieter at the end of 2016 to write new material for a row of releases to be put out in 2017. the first in line will be this EP entitled “Furnace” which see’s the band heading out into much more melodic territories while still featuring the aggression of former releases. “Furnace” delivers 5 new songs of bastard sound black metal / hardcore crossover that takes no prisoners.”
