BIFFY CLYRO and hardcore punks OFF! have shared their covers of Metallica‘s ‘Holier Than Thou’, contributing to ‘The Metallica Blacklist’ LP, which is being released to celebrate the upcoming 30th anniversary of the legends’ fifth studio album ‘Metallica’, AKA ‘The Black Album’. The amazing music video above features David Yow, Angelo Moore, and Derrick Beckles. All profits from this song go to Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation and Indian Youth.
The OFF! cover marks the band’s first new music since their 2014 LP Wasted Years. The band’s new lineup is: Keith Morris – vocals, Dimitri Coats – guitar, Autry Fulbright II – bass, Justin Brown – drums. The band just signed to Fat Possum, who will reissue their back catalog later this year.
“The Metallica Blacklist” will feature 53 artists paying homage to one of the most iconic rock/metal albums in the history of music.
