“Bury Me Where It Snows” – experimental screamo act IT ONLY ENDS ONCE shares heart-rending new single

September 1, 2021
1 min read

OVERO‘s Brendan Stephens has already made it to our pages with his exciting, blackened post metal / screamo project  IT ONLY ENDS ONCE, but today we’re honored to open a whole new chapter for his new full length called “lose you”. With his new immersive single “bury me where it snows”, the raw genre undergoad some dreamy renovations and unveils a warmly autumnal atmopshere that will be balanced by more atmopsherics moods on the full release.

it only ends once is the solo project by Brendan S. of the screamo outfit Overo. The project came about as a way for him to push himself musically to capture darker themes. In 2020, it only ends once released two lps and two charity covers through Human Machine and Middle-Man Records.

“lose you” sees Brendan S. to continue to expand the sonic palette of the Houston blackgaze project with taking a more streamlined approach than previous albums. The album is both heavier and softer, combining black metal with emotional hardcore.

In the first single “bury me where it snows,” reverb drenched tremolo guitars are paired with a steady rhythm section and despairing screams.

it only ends once · it only ends once – bury me where it snows

“lose you” releases on September 24th via Knifepunch Records & Count Your Lucky Stars Records in the USA and Goatroom Productions in Germany and Columbia.
