California’s WORST WAYS just dropped a new single and video, “Never Know,” off their upcoming debut album Worst Ways, out November 1st via New Age Records. This is the second single off the album, and it’s a fast, chaotic burst of hardcore energy.
“Never Know” barely hits the 2-minute mark but packs in plenty of punch with driving riffs, a punk-infused rhythm, and a chorus that rides on rejection and anxiety. The mosh parts are relentless, throwing in heavy, aggressive breakdowns.
The video, directed by Jarod Keel, was shot at Sacramento’s Pancake Circus and pairs the song’s intense vibe with a sharp, self-aware narrative.
The lyrics, co-written by the band’s vocalist Jonnie and longtime friend Dan Vanderpool, feel raw and personal, touching on themes of mental strain and self-doubt.
Hailing from Sacramento, WORST WAYS features hardcore veterans from bands like US ROUGHNECKS, FIVE VICTIMS FOUR GRAVES, and COLD TRAP. Their upcoming record, produced by Paul Miner (BUZZBOMB STUDIOS), captures the anxious energy the band is known for—ten tracks of pure, no-nonsense hardcore that will keep you on edge.
