Rochester-based band, Carpool, has found a new home with LA’s renowned SideOneDummy Records. The label plans to reissue Carpool’s 2020 debut LP, “Erotic Nightmare Summer.” This move follows Carpool’s 2022 EP release, “For Nasal Use Only,” under Acrobat Unstable.

Carpool, formed in 2018, is rapidly gaining traction for its unique mix of emo, pop punk, and hardcore genres. The ensemble, comprising Chris ‘Stoph’ Colasanto, Tommy Eckerson, Alec Westover, and Torri Ross, recently toured with acts like CLIFFDIVER and Michael Cera Palin. Currently, they are on the road, heading for FEST in Gainesville, FL.

“Signing to a label like SideOneDummy feels surreal. Growing up with bands like Rozwell Kid, PUP, Microwave, and Title Fight, they were always on my radar. Re-releasing a record that has meant so much to us and our past while also being able to release the future of Carpool under them is incredibly exciting.” – Carpool

Given SideOneDummy Records‘ history of launching notable acts like Flogging Molly, The Gaslight Anthem, and PUP, Carpool’s partnership with the label bodes well for their future endeavors.

Founded in 1995 by Bill Armstrong and Joe Sib, SideOneDummy Records emerged from the union of their independent music labels, Dummy Recordings and SideOne Records. With a vision of amplifying artists’ voices, the label has successfully supported numerous acts over the decades. Their track record includes 5 RIAA Certified Gold Awards and accolades from notable music publications.

Armstrong and Sib’s forward-thinking approach has been instrumental in keeping SideOneDummy at the forefront of the music industry. Their commitment to fostering artists with genuine narratives has remained unwavering since the label’s inception.
