Celestial post rockers COLLAPSE UNDER THE EMPIRE premiere new track “Abstracted”

1 min read

“Abstracted”, the newest single from prolific German instrumental ambient post rock architects COLLAPSE UNDER THE EMPIRE is a forerunner of the forthcoming album and it combines everything that the band developed in the last 10 years: vivid synthetic sounds with guitar walls and the very own signature sound of electronic post rock sound. It reveals itself to be one of the most expansive C.U.T.E. has sounded in some time. We’re pleased to give you the first listen below.

The new album “The End of Something” will be released in autumn 2019 in conjunction with the band’s 10th anniversary. Until the release, the duo plans on releasing new single every 8 weeks. Additionally, there will be a special retrospective numbered LP box set featuring some of the best offerings from the past decade of their creative work, including rarities.

The band was founded in summer 2008 in Hamburg and released their debut album “Systembreakdown” in Spring 2009. Since then, Collapse Under The Empire have released instrumental,  experimental and atmospheric music on seven studio albums, 3 EPs and various singles, covering musical styles from post-rock to ambient to ice-cold electronica with references to Talk Talk and Mogwai.

Since their second album “Find a place to be safe” (2010), Collapse Under The Empire have established themselves internationally in the post-rock scene and made a firm name for themselves. Influential international magazines such as Rock Sound, Q-Magazine and Clash are always enthusiastic about the band’s cinematic and independent sound. Since 2012 the band releases their music on their own label Finaltune Records.

The band released another new single called “Anomaly” earlier this year. You can stream it below:
