Cleveland’s PISS ME OFF unveil “Debt With The World”, May West Coast dates coming up

Piss Me Off’s new 8-track mini-LP Debt With The World is out today via Delayed Gratification Records. The Cleveland band, formed in 2022, continues to hone their stripped-down, angular approach to hardcore punk rooted in 80s tradition, with flashes of garage rock and straight-ahead rock’n’roll sneer.

The new record was recorded in summer and fall 2024 by Noah and Connor, and mixed and mastered by Sasha Stroud, known for work with Firewalker and 80HD. It will be released on limited edition purple swirl vinyl with an exclusive ringer tee, available via the Delayed Gratification webstore and Bandcamp.

With a fast, swaggering rhythm and a Motörhead-indebted charge, their first single “Slide The Shell” already captured what the band’s been chasing since day one: short songs, chaos, no filler. The full tracklist includes “P.R.S.,” “Lost At The End,” “Blind,” “Everything Really Good,” “No Dice,” “2 Much Longer,” “Busiest Place,” and “Slide The Shell.”

Piss Me Off recorded the new material with a DIY ethic that matches their sound. Speaking about their goals, the band shared that they want “to continue to be prolific with writing and tour as much as possible going forward.”

This next stretch includes a full West Coast run in May, beginning May 15 in Portland and ending May 24 in Los Angeles. Stops include Seattle, Vancouver’s Better Things To Do Fest, Oakland, and more.

Before that, the band will play a release show in their hometown at Happy Dog in Cleveland on May 10, joined by Cruelster, Illiterates, Yambag, and Pill Time.

Since forming, Piss Me Off has released a demo, a “full length,” a split with Cruelster, and a debut LP, all while doing weekend runs and hitting the road with acts like Speed Plans.

Members are longtime fixtures of the local punk and hardcore scenes, having played in groups like Cruelster, Knowso, Roobydocks, Bulsch, Ages, Louse, Brain Cave, and Self Checkout.
