Connecticut metalcore band DREAMWAKE drops new video; watch “Luna”!

1 min read

Independent metalcore/wavecore band DREAMWAKE – Bobby Nabors (vocals), Dave Pazik (guitar), Kevin Jacques (bass), Andrew Popolizio (drums)- released their brand new single “Luna” today with an accompanying music video. The track was recorded in Cleveland, OH with Steve Perrino and mix/mastered by Nicolas Delestrade from DNA Music Studio. The video was shot by Alex Kouvatsos at Blackwolf Imaging.

The band describes “Luna” as a transition piece from their old sound to this new sound that is to be heard on future releases. The track itself is about running from your problems and the worst part of yourself, and realizing you can only run for so long before facing your problems and fears.

“Luna is our way of addressing the darkest parts of one’s self and showing that every person struggles in their own way. We hope to give listeners a more positive and inspiring outlook on life and understand that they aren’t alone in their struggles. Everyone’s story is different and the way they process their emotions vary, but the only way to overcome the darkness is to face it head on.”

DREAMWAKE

Dreamwake is a metalcore/wavecore band based out of Connecticut that formed in 2018 as the result of dissolving previous bands that the members belonged to.

The name Dreamwake symbolizes a temporary escape from reality that allows one to be completely in the moment. In this short time they have accumulated over 40,500 streams on Spotify and their video for “Kaizen” has almost 10,000 views. They were able to sell out a local show for their EP release and have played shows with the likes of Polyphia and Issues.

The band takes inspiration from progressive metalcore bands like ERRA, Spiritbox, and Novelists FR and synthwave artists like The Midnight and FM-84, creating a sound all their own that they like to call “wavecore”.

Fans can expect a wide and colorful array of music from the band. They have plenty more where “Luna” came from and listeners can expect some more releases in the near future. This is just the beginning!
