“Cross My Heart” – BREAK AWAY (React! Records) premiere new video!

1 min read

Tired of the lack of passionate straight edge hardcore bands? Having problems with tracking new dedicated crews? Missing the good old days that are to some degree over? No worries, Richmond’s BREAK AWAY are here for you. We’ve just teased their new LP on REACT! Records, and now we’re super thrilled to team up with the band and unveil another new song called “Cross My Heart”, a powerful shot of vital energy that can easily substitute your morning coffee!

In a scene dominated by seasonal acts and disposable demos, where releasing even one full length is a noteworthy achievement, these guys have established themselves as a focused, prolific and stalwart band dead set on leaving a lasting impact. On Cross My Heart, BREAK AWAY delivers exactly what you’d hope from a true straight edge hardcore band – power, speed, and passion. Vocalist Ace Stallings explores the enduring duality of hardcore, the balance of aggression and introspection, asking “was I made for war, or made to create?” If Cross My Heart is any indication, the answer is both.

Pre-order “Cross My Heart” now via REACT! Records (US) or Deathwish Inc. (Europe)!

Richmond hardcore torchbearers BREAK AWAY will release their sophomore LP, Cross My Heart, on August 5th via REACT! Records. Digital pre-orders are up now at this location.

“Cross My Heart” record release show will take place on August 12th at the Strange Matter venue in Richmond. Joining BREAK AWAY on stage will be Long Island’s REGULATE, Syracuse’s TRAIL OF LIES, Detroit’s TRUE LOVE, Florida’s DAY BY DAY and Richmond’s own SHATTERED XISTENCE:
