CRUSADES reveal another new track ‘1590 (Swiftness Never Ceasing)’

1 min read

Soon after the initial new record announcement including new music and tour dates, CRUSADES are back with a new track called “1590 (Swiftness Never Ceasing)”!

The band’s third LP, This is a Sickness and Sickness Will End, which is scheduled to be released on March 7th through Anxious & Angry (USA) and Countless Altars (Canada/World).

The band commented for New Noise Magazine, who premiered the song earlier this week:

“Musically, I think this song sets the tone for the new record by starting off in the fast, upbeat style of ‘Perhaps You Deliver’ and then transitioning into the more elaborate and dynamic arrangements that characterize the rest of the ‘This Is A Sickness.’

Lyrically, it serves as a sort of blueprint for what’s to come – laying out the themes of loss and grief, highlighting the parallels and distinctions between two lives ending within a short time of each other and in vastly different ways, and the anxieties surrounding one’s own mortality in the face of death and time.

‘This is a Sickness and Sickness Will End’ was recorded in Spring 2016 by Mike Bond at Wolf Lake Studios in Lac-Des-Loups, QC. It was mixed by Matt Bayles (Tragedy, Mastodon, From Ashes Rise, Pearl Jam, etc.) at Red Room Recording in Seattle, WA and mastered by Martin Bowitz (The Spectacle, Cold Mailman) at Strype Audio in Oslo, Norway.

Pumped and terrified to premiere this badboy!”
