Underground champions Cvlt Nation are now streaming ECOCIDE‘s final album ‘When Will It End’ in full, calling it “a perfect cryptic sonic painting. The band is calling it quits, but are leaving the world an audio wake up call that we all had better take heed to.”

San Antonio’s ECOCIDE called it quits awhile ago, and recently completed a short farewell tour that took them across the Lone Star state this past December, but now, this is IT: ‘When Will It End,’ the posthumous and terminal release from one of the most intriguing, important metal/punk bands to ever rise up out of Texas. Their innovative blend of black metal, doom and sludge with mournful violin and harsh, powerful female vocals, coupled with crust punk’s ideals and grimy aesthetic, is impossible to duplicate, and lands them amongst the likes of Nux Vomica, Agrimonia, and Downfall of Gaia are true innovators and architects of extremity.
‘When Will It End’ will be officially released by Tofu Carnage Records on February 1, 2013, and will be unleashed upon the general population in a limited pressing of 250 copies on bone white with olive green haze vinyl. Preorder your copy here: http://store.tofucarnage.com/
Bleak Metal’s Cheryl Carter summed up the record perfectly in her description: “Four tracks of powerful and driven sludge make up this new compilation and show that Ecocide are certainly going to be hugely missed on the crust sludge scene. Blackened choruses showcase a knack for melody and deep growls of utter contempt permeate the oppressive atmosphere of When Will It End? with rage and outright disgust at the horrors of the modern world.”
ECOCIDE’s time on this earth has ended, but the battle they fought rages on…
