I did a remake of ‘Saturday Night’ by Philly rapper Schoolly D. He was my favorite MC when I was a young kid. I call him the “Godfather of gangster rap.” He was my first introduction to gangster music in hip hop. The first gangster rap record I bought was ‘P.S.K. What Does it Mean?’ and ‘Gucci Time.’
