DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979 release new song “Freeze Me”; drop the ‘1979’ from their name!

1 min read

DEATH FROM ABOVE (1979) have debuted a new track “Freeze Me” via the MistaJam’s BBC Radio 1 show. The band dropped the suffix from their name and assured their fanbase that their new album wouldn’t take 10 years.

The name “DEATH FROM ABOVE” led to a dispute with James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem and DFA Records, who sued the band and forced them to change their name to DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979.
