Following yesterday’s brief teaser, post hardcore virtuosi AT THE DRIVE-IN have unveiled the details of their upcoming reunion tour! The band will be doing a lengthy tour this year, as well as putting out some new music, a follow up to their 2000 masterpiece “Relationship Of Command”! Formed in El Paso, Texas back in 1993, AT THE DRIVE-IN consists of Cedric Bixler, Jim Ward, Omar Rodríguez, Paul Hinojos, and Tony Hajjar. The band released three studio albums and five EPs before their break-up in 2001. AT THE DRIVE-IN reunioted for 2012’s Coachella and Lollapalooza festivals. They were recently announced to perform live at Rock On The Range festival in Columbus and Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta. Both fests will take place in May 2016. “We’re all excited to be seeing each other, to be playing in a room again, and to be making music under a new context,” guitarist Omar Rodríguez-López tells Fuse. “This is where we all came from. We have different families now, we live in different places, but these are our roots, and a true person never forgets their roots. There’s a safety in being around people you trust.”“We cut our teeth in this band,” adds drummer Tony Hajjar. “We slept on floors two inches away from each other in this band. We cooked for each other in this band. This is home, and it’s nice to come back to it and feel so positive about it.”
