Digital re-recorded, re-arranged version of Boston Hardcore classic, performed by new line-up, free with purchase of any DYS item in Bridge Nine Store. Reformed “Kings of Boston Hardcore” – DYS – today release a studio version of “Brotherhood 2012” and offer it free to fans that purchase any DYS-related item on B9Store.com.

Here’s the official word:

This new free track is in honor and celebration for the world premiere of the Boston Hardcore documentary “xxx All Ages xxx” which will debut in the band’s original hometown on 4/27/2012 as part of the Boston Independent Film Festival. DYS performs, and are interviewed, in the movie.

Bass player Jonathan Anastas said, “DYS would have never re-formed without the passion and involvement of the ‘All Ages’ team of Duane Lucia, Drew Stone and Katie Goldman, nor would we have been able to do it the first time around either.” Continued Jonathan, “From offering one of the best original venues to play live to helping us get the “Brotherhood” record pressed to asking us to headline their Gallery East Reunion show in 2010, there would be no DYS as you know it without this team. Thus, giving back to our scene, our city and their movie was a natural.”

Additionally, the band’s 2010 reunion show, as shot for the movie, was documented live and released as “More than Fashion: Live From The Gallery East Reunion,” also via Bridge Nine.

DYS is vocalist Dave Smalley (ex- Dag Nasty, All, Down by Law) bass player Jonathan Anastas (ex-Slapshot), guitar player Franz Stahl (Scream, ex-Foo Fighters), drummer Al Pahanish Jr. (ex- Powerman 5000) and guitar player Adam Porris (ex-Far From Finished). The track was was Produced by Andrew “Mudrock” Murdock (Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, Riverboat Gamblers), recorded at his Hobby Shop Studio, West in Los Angeles, and mastered by Dave Shultz at D2.
