THE EARLY NOVEMBERย have premiered “Circulation,”ย another new track from their upcoming full length, Imbue, due out May 12th via Rise Records. ย “Circulation” features the kind of intricate verses and explosively hooky choruses thatThe Early November excel at.ย Fuse commented thatย “TEN up the intensity when Ace Enders’ vocals kick in with breathy ferocity; it’s like he’s screaming when he’s talking. The band is working through some heavy stuff with this impressive second singleโit would be wise to take note.”
In addition to the release ofย Imbue,ย The Early Novemberย are set to embark on lengthy headlining tours of Europe and North America. ย The band’sย European trek starts this month and featuresย support from You Blew It!ย and A Great Big Pile Of Leaves. ย In North America, the The Early Novemberย will be joined by Lydia and Restorations. ย Preorders forย Imbue, as well as tickets forย upcoming tour dates are availableย HERE.
The Early November have been staying busy and recently appeared on Billboard’s Alt In Our Stars Podcast to discuss the band’s past, present, and of course the future release of Imbue.
The life ofย The Early Novemberย has beenย filled with ups and downs, the likes of which a group of kids from New Jersey could never haveย anticipated when they released their debut full length,ย The Room’s Too Coldย on Drive-Thru Records in 2003. ย The unexpected success of that album opened many doors for the young band andย lead to perhaps theย greatest challenge of the band’s career;ย the creation of their sophomore release, the daunting tripleย disc concept albumย The Mother, The Mechanic, and The Path. ย Despite the positive response to the album,ย theย stressful recording process lead to the announcement of anย “indefinite hiatus” less than 7 months after it’s release. This break proved to be exactly what the band’s members needed to grow both as people and musicians. ย Their separate endeavors, musical and otherwise, allowed them to experiment, make mistakes, and most of all,ย learn, allย without the mantle ofย The Early Novemberย and it’s past. ย When the band suddenlyย felt compelledย to play together again in 2011, the reformation wasย as surprising to the band as it was for it’s fans, who quickly sold outย The Early November‘s first reunion show at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. ย Mere months earlier, aย reunion had seemed to beย the most unlikely thing to happen,ย but even before playing a second time, the old friends knew that they wanted to make a record together, and dove back into being a band. That record would be 2012’sย In Currents. ย The album markedย The Early November‘sย return from a six year hiatus andย Rise Records debut. ย In Currentsย was a perfect portrait of a band wearing it’s past proudly but continuing to forge ahead. ย Now withย Imbue,ย The Early November‘s fourth full length,ย the bandย continue that effort,ย crafting powerful and dynamic rock music that is undeniably modern without abandoning it’s roots.
Recorded in multiple sessionsย at frontmanย Ace Enders’ Living Room Recording studio,ย Imbueย features the band’s strongest songwriting to date with Enders saying “This is my favorite album I’ve ever been a part of. I think one of the reasons is that we did it at two separate times. So there is a definite difference in the personality of the songs. I love when an album doesnโt sound uniform and I think that’s what makes this one sound and feel so special to me.” ย This willingness to try new thingsย has allowedย The Early Novemberย to continue toย prove that they haveย more than successfully navigated the crests and troughsย of the early 2000’s emo wave, and canย flourish as a vital rock band today.
The Early Novemberย of 2015 has been through countless highs and lows but has emerged stronger than ever. ย Never content to rest on past success,ย The Early Novemberย have managed the seemingly impossibleย task of embracing theirย legacy while remaining relevant and uncompromising. ย Imbueย is a statement, a message that can be heard loud and clear across ten tracks of simmering contemplation and roaring crescendos.
