These guys from Edmonton, pushed to the heart of hardcore, have been spreading their energy all over western Canada since 2021. The much-anticipated release of their new self-titled EP, “Eyes Front,” is finally here. Five tracks filled with blood, sweat, and tears are aimed directly at the hearts and minds of punchy hardcore kids.
Here’s what the band has to say about their latest creation: “Our new self-titled EP, ‘Eyes Front,’ is the culmination of a year’s worth of writing and recording.
This project represents our journey to solidify our sound, blending different influences from each band member into a cohesive whole.
These songs also feature a different lineup than our last EP. We faced some lineup changes that ultimately strengthened our unity and musical direction.
The resulting tracks truly represent who we are and what we aim to achieve as a band.
With this EP, we are proud to present a definitive statement of our identity, hence the self-titled name, ‘Eyes Front.’”
No glitter, no pretense. Five tracks of pure hardcore, echoing through western Canada, ready to crush your ears.
Dive into it and check out the band’s special track by track rundown below!
Wildrose – The opening track is a bit of a sequel to our title track from our first ep “Tied to the Tracks” where we talked about Edmonton and both wanting to leave but knowing in our hearts we’re tied to the city. On Wildrose we just zoomed out a little and took the whole province in consideration. “I guess I’ll stay Wildrose”.
Let Down – Everyone has felt like they’ve let down people around them. As we grow we see people come and go, they’ve either hurt us or we’ve hurt them, it’s violent. This song is about taking responsibility and welcoming that violence as part of life.
Face The Facts – This track is about the one man vendettas that end in their own downfall because they have no leg to stand on; yeilding results such as a loss of friends, respect and credibility. We’ve all disliked someone, but there are those that will ignore the facts and try to burn it all instead of just simply walking away.
Sleep Tight – Ghosts from the past haunt us into replaying things and different outcomes. We’ve all dwelled on it. I’ll let this one speak for itself.
Learn 2 Live – To summarize the rest of the EP, sometimes you have to come to grips with never leaving the place you’re in, or having to take responsibility for letting others down. Sometimes people in your life will spin lies and cry wolf in an unrelenting pursuit to take you down. We all live moments that return to haunt us, where we wish the outcome had been different. These are all lessons of life, and it sucks but tough shit, we just gotta take the L and learn to live. At least we have hardcore.
