1 min read

From Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, EXALT represents the new wave of metallic hardcore, along with peers like CODE ORANGE, HARM’S WAY and OLD WOUNDS. Dark, minimal, and crushing, the sound is a mix of caveman heaviness and haunting melody, showing traces of ’90s industrial-metallers like GODFLESH and FEAR FACTORY“Judas Wolf” appears on new album The Shape You Took Before the Ache, out September 9th on Good Fight Music in the US, and New Damage Records throughout the rest of the world. Metal Injection warns, “The great news is the album is chock full of heavy groove you will want to set on repeat, the bad news is what will happen to your neck after a few listens.” Canada’s preeminent music magazine, Exclaim!, has named EXALT, simply, “one of hardcore’s most promising bands.”

The Shape You Took Before the Ache was produced by Pete Grossman and Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording (Harm’s Way, Weekend Nachos) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Ringworm).

Exalt has toured with the likes of Cancer Bats, Obey the Brave, Capsize, Old Wounds, and Axis; the band just wrapped up a full US tour with Dark Sermon.
