Bordeaux hardcore band NO MATTER WHAT has just premiered their new power single and music video, featuring Yoann of SMASH IT. The track, titled “For The Win,” is all about friendship and success, with lyrics that inspire listeners to find their inner strength and overcome struggles. Today, we’re giving you an exclusive premiere of the video and some more details about their craft.
The song is a groovy and heavy track that is perfect for workout sessions. It also features a lot of singalong moments that will stay with listeners long after the music stops. NO MATTER WHAT’s first single “Pure Strength” was released for streaming back in October 2022, featuring Drew York from Stray From The Path.
NO MATTER WHAT’s new album is coming up on April 28th.
“We teamed up with our good hometown friends in Smash It! for a feature. We played so many shows with them we had to get them on our first album.” – says the band.
“There’s not a lot of hardcore bands in France and we think it is super important to support each other, pulling each other to the top. Like a lot of our songs, the lyrics are all about finding inner strength and overcoming struggles. We are all there sometimes, feeling tired, feeling depressed or whatever. Nothing is ever perfect, so you have to find that flame inside yourself to keep going, to keep doing your best, to keep paving your way to your goals. For The Win is all about making that effort. In the end, the process is more important than the result. Sometimes it feels like all the efforts are made in vain, but really it’s all worth it.”
The music video for “For The Win” was directed by Pierre Martial, a good friend of the band, and Nathan from Sourire Noir Tv. It was shot on a green background, which was a new experience for the band, and the director did a great job of bringing their vision to life.
‘We wanted to go against the grain. We took our inspiration on the “Colors show” youtube channel, as we like hip hop and R&b music. We wanted to do this but the hardcore way. With a lot more motion and cuts.”
NO MATTER WHAT is proud to support other hardcore bands in France, and they believe that it is important to pull each other to the top.
