Six years after their relentless second album ‘Viscères’ (2018), BTK (Bind Torture Kill) returns with the bone-chilling track “Cadavres,” now streaming on Bandcamp. This harrowing track is part of their upcoming third album ‘Sauvagerie,’ set for release this fall on CD, LP, tape, and digital formats via Breathe Plastic Records, Dahlia Noir Records, and The Hills Are Dead Records.

BTK, standing for Bind Torture Kill, is a chaotic hardcore trio composed of a drummer, a guitarist, and a screamer. Born in the dark alleys of Lyon, France, in 2010, they thrive on a brutal, chaotic sound.

Their vocals, shrieked in French, delve into the macabre, narrating tales of serial killers and grisly crimes.

The band originally included a bassist, but after several lineup changes, they solidified as a guitar, drum, and vocal trio. They self-produced their first EP in 2013 and their debut album, “Condamné,” in 2015. Their second album, “Viscères,” was recorded in 2017 and released in early 2018, co-produced with labels WOOAAARGH! (Germany), Troffea (France/Switzerland), and Hell-J Industries (France).

Their sound grew heavier with “Viscères,” employing a guitar setup plugged into three amps, including an octaver pedal to amplify their monstrous sound. Over time, BTK’s style evolved from death and mathcore to a chaotic, dark hardcore blend, infused with punk, crust, grind, and black metal influences.

In 2023, they recorded their third album “Sauvagerie” at Warmaudio in Décines with Kris Banel. Mastering was handled by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East, Boston. Despite retaining their signature guitar and three-amp setup, the addition of the legendary HM2 pedal has made their sound more abrasive and feral. This marks a pivotal evolution in their sonic identity, making this album their darkest and most violent yet. Expect filthy, heavy riffs and a raw, aggressive sound.
