French raging punk rockers THE TRADERS share new single “Grandiose”

1 min read

Get ready to crank up the volume and rock out, because French three-piece band THE TRADERS are back with a vengeance! After a decade-long hiatus, these loud rock maestros are making a triumphant return with their latest single “Grandiose,” an explosive punk anthem that’ll make your ears beg for more.

Imagine Motörhead joining forces with Dead To Me, PUP, or None More Black, and you’ll have a taste of the raw energy and power that THE TRADERS bring to the table. Having toured extensively throughout Europe, UK, Eastern Europe, Russia, and Canada from 2010 to 2015, these seasoned rockers are no strangers to the stage.

With several EPs and their first album, “Too Young So Old,” released back in 2013, THE TRADERS have spent the past few years focusing on family and navigating the challenges of the pandemic. But now they’re roaring back into action, gearing up for the release of a new album in September 2023 that promises to be an ear-shattering, punk-infused sonic assault.

Grandiose” is just a taste of what’s to come, and if this track is any indication, we’re in for one heck of a wild ride. So get ready to throw up your horns and mosh like there’s no tomorrow, because THE TRADERS are back, their backline is loaded in the van, and they’re hitting the road with a series of upcoming shows.

Mark your calendars for these live performances:

21.04 – BOURG EN BRESSE (01) @ La Tannerie
22.04 – SALAVAUX (CH) @ Piquette Skatepark
15.06 – AMIENS (80) @ La Taverne Elektrik
16.06 – LE HAVRE (76) @ Le Mac Daid’s
17.06 – TOURS (37) @ Le Jericho

The new song is the first one THE TRADERS wrote with their current lineup in a rehearsal room, taking only an hour or two. This might be the reason for its high energy. They never changed, rewrote, or restructured it in any way, and although it might sound cliché or silly, that’s what they love about it.

The lyrics primarily focus on self-esteem, confidence, and also explore themes of selfishness and stubbornness. The distinction between these qualities seems increasingly blurred these days, as some people allow their egos to ruin relationships rather than engaging in introspection. With that in mind, the band encourages everyone to stay positive.
