I don’t know if you know, but Geoff Rickly from THURSDAY founded a label about 5 years ago. Geoff has recently resurrected the old project with hopes to release ots first official signing and release! Collect Records will be releasing 7”s from SAVES THE DAY, TITLE FIGHT, and TOUCHE AMORE! Check out the official statement below.
Founded in 2009 by Thursday vocalist Geoff Rickly, Collect Records aims to be as distinct as our history suggests. The label’s first year of releases will include the sophomore album from D.C.-based post-rock experimentalists Black Clouds, a debut single and full-length album from Vanishing Life (featuring members of Quicksand and …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead), a co-release with Terrible Records from hardcore provocateurs Sick Feeling, and more yet to be announced.
On Monday, June 30, from 7-9 PM (EST), as part of the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, DJ Dan Carter will also be making a special internationally-coordinated announcement and global radio premiere regarding Collect’s first official signing and release, marking a new era for both this artist and the label alike. (U.S. listeners will be able to tune in live via the BBC Radio 1 website.) In the meantime, we’re opening our social media accounts to the public, with a full website to coincide following Radio 1’s announcement.
