Gothenburg melodic oi punk rockers CITY SAINTS blend English and Swedish street anthems on their new album “Punk & Roll”

“Punk & Roll”, the newest full length from anthemic street punk rockers CITY SAINTS is up now for streaming!

City Saints has been kicking ass for the working class since 2012. By adding some good ol’ fashioned rock’n’roll to their punky attitude, the gang from Gothenburg, Sweden has been hailed internationally for their energetic live performances.

They have been tearing through Scandinavia, UK, Germany, Slovenia, Poland, Switzerland and even done shows in St. Petersburg and Moscow. In the ten years that has passed, City Saints has produced a plethora of songs that bursts of energy and offers hook after hook. The music is no-frills, very much to the point, and offers a quality matched by the group’s supercharged shows.

The international success of their last longplayer “Pa Svenska” (sold out for a long time), which was completely sung in their home language, has surprised the band itself….apparently it is not a handicap, if one is not rather powerful of the Swedish language outside of Scandinavia, if the music alone has such a convincing expressiveness!

And so “Punk & Roll” is a double LP with a total of 24 brand new City Saints anthems, whereby LP1 was recorded in English and LP2 again in Swedish! The title Punk & Roll was also appropriately chosen, because while LP1 has a sharp streetpunk edge, LP2 aims a nuance more on punky RocknRoll with punk, hardrock & glam set pieces enriched! Grandiose variety, damn powerful disc.
