After announcing their appearance at this year’s Skull Fest in Pittsburgh, PA, D.C. hardcore legends GOVERNMENT ISSUE have just announced another gig at Brooklyn’s Acheron venue on July 18 with BLOCKHEAD (members of 86 MENTALITY, CRISPUS ATTACKS, SICK FIX) and NYC punk band AGITATOR (not to be confused with the Philly straight edge hardcore band interviewed for IDIOTEQ back in 2011!)! The band played their first show in 21 years in Washington, DC in 2010. That gig was followed by another DC show 2 years later, 4 years later at Damaged City Fest, DC in 2014, and 2 shows in Houston and Baltimore in 2015.
The current lineup of the band is: John Stabb (vocals), John Barry (guitar), Dwayne Bruner (bass), and Karl Hill (drums). GOVERNMENT ISSUE released their last studio album “Crash” back in 1988. The bootleg series can be grabbed via this location.
