GREAT AMERICAN GHOST approaching new album release with “Echoes Of War”

1 min read

Great American Ghost is gearing up for the release of Tragedy of the Commons, their new album due out January 31st on SharpTone Records. The band has unveiled the final preview of the record with the single “Echoes of War.” As vocalist Ethan Harrison puts it, “This song is this record. The keystone that holds the entire thing together.”

The track blends metalcore foundations with industrial accents and more accessible rock vibes. Searing guitars pierce through the chaos, driven by a hypnotic and haunting hook from Harrison.

Thematically, the song dives into the concept of free will—or the lack thereof—delivering a stark and provocative narrative. This isn’t just another single; it’s a statement of intent, embodying everything the band hoped to accomplish with the album.

Tragedy of the Commons reflects the band’s uncompromising vision. Produced by Will Putney, the album tackles heavy themes like exploitation, oppression, and the scarcity that defines much of modern existence.

Musically, it fuses hardcore grit with razor-sharp metallic precision, provocative lyrics, and moments of unexpected melody.
