High energy nu metallers ICENAP share new powerful, atmospheric ballad “The Singed”

1 min read

Metal union based out of Budapest, Hungary, ICENAP draws from a deep well of influences from the late 90’s/early 00’s hard hitting alternative music scene often described as nu-metal. Founded in 2019 by vocalist Martin Toth, guitarist Robert Kadar, bassist Kristof Desi and drummer Zsombor Farkas. Today, the band shares their new single The Singed, which was lyrically inspired by the chaotic mood of the last year, plus it’s also inspired by the loss of our singer’s grandmother. The song is literally a message to the other side about the current situation here on Earth…

“We recorded the music video by ourselves in the hills of Mátrafüred, Hungary, where our guitarist grew up.” – says the band.

“The band goes to the nature every summer and creates some new release there. Last year we recorded an acoustic session next to the river of Tiszaroff, Hungary, now we went to the hills of Mátrafüred and shot this music video for the brand new single.”

The Singed shows the softer side of  nu metal band, and mainly draws influence from early 00’s alternative rock and post grunge ballads.
