1 min read

Australia’s HURTxUNIT has a 7″ coming out on Arrest Records and you can check out the first song right here! For fans of… CHAMPION!

HURT UNIT band

Arrest Records Australia is proud to present the latest addition to it’s catalogue “Wired Wrong” which is the fresh 7-inch from Newcastle outfit HurtxUnit. From hardcore beginnings the band have thrown back to their influences with this release, paying homage to where their style began, with a heavily influenced 80’s styled punk/hardcore. With this fresh breath injected into their music there was no else in mind to mix and master the record other than the legendary Don Fury. Don has been responsible for so many punk and hardcore staple records including Gorilla Biscuit’s “Start Today” and Sick Of It All’s “We Stand Alone. This mixture of a evolution and experience has resulted in six angst ridden tracks of melodic punk / hardcore. You can pre-order the 7 inch stream the track “Here They Come” via Bandcamp right now.

HurtxUnit formed in 2010 after the break-up of the Dead Walk. With ex-members of Found My Direction, Persist, Life Love Regret, The Exiled, The Dead Walk along with current members of Civil War, Taken by Force and Setbacks these gents know how to push themselves musically to ensure they are delivering a consistent high quality of recorded works. They previously have had a self released 7” and a free digital release from their Bandcamp. This record features guest vocals by Drew Charnock (Found My Direction) and Jamie Chipperfield (Disengage, NC Wolfpack, Life Love Regret, WMD). Recorded by Mat Taylor (Civil War, Hazards, Taken By Force etc) at Lloyd St Sounds with mixing and mastering by Don Fury.
