ARCADIA EGO is a new post-hardcore band from Liverpool, bringing together elements of wide range of styles, founded on melodic, 00s post-hardcore and even pop-punk. Their debut single, ‘Blood From My Stone,’ released on November 3rd, takes on the theme of a one-sided, draining relationship with a narcissist.
The song blends heavy post-hardcore guitars with lighter, intricate touches, and vocals that shift between singing and screaming. Check it out below.
The band formed in 2023, drawing members from groups like UGLY JUMPER and KIRA MAC, as well as others from the local scene. They’ve become part of Liverpool’s rock and metal community, recognized for their strong live shows. Influenced by bands like TOUCHE AMORE and TITLE FIGHT, along with classics like AT THE DRIVE-IN and FUGAZI, ARCADIA EGO is planning more releases, with an EP set for early next year and work already starting on a second.
Even with just one track out and a small crowd on Spotify, ARCADIA EGO embodies the type of hungry indie band that has the grit and potential to break out into something bigger. It’s what we’re all about—shining a light on raw talent and giving space to those who are just getting started but already carry that unmistakable spark.
Furthermore, the band checked in with us to recommend three other local acts worth your time:
Rozemary – really creative metalcore band, phenomenal live shows and just released a new single
False Thoughts – fantastic hardcore/metalcore, put out a phenomenal EP earlier this year
Murdoch – intense post-hardcore, amazing energy.
