LAKODA – “Words Unspoken” video premiere

1 min read

Apart from promoting DIY bands and working for a fat corporation, the space is one of my areas of quite a huge interest, so it’s always great news when you discover that artists you work with are also into big retro space helmets and plastic clothes that make them look sexy. With “Words Unspoken”, the newest music video from Boise, ID based indie rock band LAKODA can intimidate any aliens or sasquatches they might encounter. Watch below and have fun.

“Words Unspoken” comes from LAKODA‘s debut full length album “No Longer A Fan”, released in late 2015 and being promoted on live shows in dozens of cities over the US. The band’s next stops are Garden City, ID on October 29th and Boise, ID on October 30th – go here to see the details and RSVP.

The band’s drummer Alex Ridgeway commented on the video:

“We wanted this video to boldly stand out from those of other indie acts – the viewer is able to understand that the production value, planning, and execution were all very professional, yet they can also see that we don’t take ourselves too seriously to have fun. Everyone in the band has an appreciation for movies and comedy, and each member’s personality is put on display for the first time in this way. The concept was to combine high-quality production with a purposeful low-budget look, and the result was an old-school science fiction parody which we could tie to the mood of the song. Credit to Shedville Productions for co-directing the video along with bass guitarist Joe Szlanic.”
